About the new my.reworc.com portal
Introduction
As we go live with the my.reworc.com portal, there are some things that you should know about. This Reworc employee-only article will explain this clearly, so you can relay these things to users who run into things.
Reset Password
Your current password will not work, as we cannot decipher it. Therefore we invalidated it when we migrated the system. See the relevant article on how to reset.
User Manager
Anything related to creating and managing users is on my.reworc.com/user-manager/overview. We don't use the WorkNavigator Manager for Users anymore. D.I. managers still see the red icon on their homepage that will take them directly to the User Manager, with an applied filter for the clicked D.I.
Changed Terminology
Here are the agreed-upon words that we use consistently in the interface
- Team: Subscribers to the Reworc platform. From the user-centric perspective of Reworc's clients, this is 'their' team. See the relevant article. [deprecated names: Partner, Navigator]
- Client: The Team's client. For Corporates, this is the individual business unit that wants to make Work work. For Partners, these are the client's the Team consults.
- Digital Interview: The interactive dashboard, including its corresponding interactive work style assessment, configuration parameters, audience, the audience's attributes, and attribute values, and the audience's answers. [deprecated names: Project, Population]
- Reworc platform: The set of services, software, best practices, IP, that provides value for the Reworc subscribers.
- Reworc portal: The application (my.reworc.com) where you start after you successfully log in to reworc. It provides the Academy, User Manager, and main navigation to all things Reworc.
The corresponding names of the respective users are documented here.
WorkNavigator Manager & Reworc portal.
Currently, the Reworc portal does not provide all the management features. Some administrative tasks still need to be done by the users in the WorkNavigator Manager.
- Everything related to User Management is handled in the reworc portal.
- Creating Teams is done by Reworc Admins in WorkNavigator manager
- Managing Teams (Branding for WorkNavigator, Demo populations, Naming, access to SpacePro) is done in the WorkNavigator manager
- Creating Clients is done by Reworc admins or Team users in WorkNavigator Manager
- Creating Client Reps is done by Rewor admins or Team users in the Reworc portal user-manager
- Creating D.I.'s and uploading Audience files, managing modules, attributes, custom-insights, persona synths, community detections, and managing privacy levels are done in WorkNavigator Manager.
We aim to move the management of Teams and Clients to the Reworc Portal soon. The WorkNavigator manager will still manage D.I.'s management for a while. Nothing at all has changed in the DI-Controller.
Switching Teams
Some users (mostly Reworc Admins or Customer success managers who are active on multiple Teams) need to Switch teams to get the information perspective from a specific subscriber. Currently, the "Switch Team" functionality is only provided in the Reworc Portal. It is located in the user account menu (top right, with the user's initials). For the WorkNavigator manager, we still need to select the Team or Client at the top of the page to create the correct perspective. For SpacePro, we still need to select the Team at the top right pull-down menu to switch perspectives. We aim to make the switching team method identical in WorkNavigator and SpacePro shortly.
Logging out
While we have a beautiful way of detecting if a user is authenticated (we know who they are) and authorized (we know what they can do) across all applications (except DI-Controller), the removal of authentication is not working perfectly at the moment. It is a-symmetrical. This means that when you log out from one application, you can still be logged in as a different user on the other application. At the moment of writing it is not completely clear which applications log out and which don't. It seems like logging out of SpacePro and My.Reworc will log one out in both and vice versa. Most issues occur with persistent sessions on WorkNavigator. This is because the specified methods of the Authentication and authorization system methods don't work as expected on the somewhat older components of WorkNavigator. Luckily only very few people need to log in again under different users, and 99% of them work at Reworc.
