Place Module

In the Place module, Reworc combines the behavioral data from the Work Dynamics Model, the Work Activities Model, and the Mobility Model to predict the number of various worksettings that support the work behaviors. In a peer-reviewed process of expert reviews, calibration, and fine-tuning the WorkNavigator Dashboard connects each location on the Work Dynamic Model to determine which Worksetting is most suitable to support the activities as they are done.

A Worksetting is an archetypal 'station' one can identify in the office environment. In the WorkNavigator Dashboard "Place" is defined as a collection of Worksettings. One specific worksetting supports one FTE in a typical work week.

What it shows

This module shows:

  1. The number of various Worksettings.
  2. The ratios of between Worksettings and/or groups of Worksettings
  3. The relationship between activities and the Worksettings
  4. The equipment and tool support for the Worksettings

This results in an overview of the most cost-efficient and most productive use of the workspace.

Why it matters

Effective and good work environment programming and design must be data-driven. With the input from a substantial part of the population. The Place results are based on actual working behaviors, calibrated by the law of large numbers, instead of what poorly expressed and biased desires of a few individuals ("needs" not "wants").

So what?

With fast, crowd-sourced, data gathering, and usable output it is possible to tie space to the productivity of the population. Also, it shortens the cycle to create or change an office environment and it enables teams to have valuable conversations about work, and the work environment needed to perform these activities. The possibility to customize the "Worksetting definition set" enables you to create the best working environments for every organization.
